It's like a baby Aventador.

I'd get one.

You have to be happy that Lambo uses real names and doesn't just reuse classic names, but given the equity in names like Gallardo you have to wonder why they wouldn't stick with that name for this car.

That's confusing, because the prototypes look nothing like that. This just looks like a toned-down Sesto Elemento with Aventador wheels and tail. I don't believe them

I don't think they've ever re-used any of their model names, come to think of it.

And people complain about Porsche and Aston Martin not changing their classic and iconic styling.

Lamborgini is revelling in it's cubist design language, and it isn't what I would consider classic.

Given the choice, I'd take Audi R8 GT/V10 Plus over a Gallardo, and over this Deimos, as well... and for RWD, I would go with a McLaren 12C that may not be as striking looking, but is much more graceful, and likely to be pleasing to the eye for a much longer period of time.

'Loud' styling gets faddish and tiresome after a while. Classic styling is timeless, and ages well.

Deimos is a great name.

However, the R8 platform is old. Very old in supercar terms. If they stick with that, I'm not certain they'll be able to compete with the 458s and 12Cs of this world.

As far as I can tell, they never have. There's never been a second generation of a Lambo, they just start fresh with a new name. Which ia fine, but when you have songs mentioning Gallardos and one even called Mercy (as in Murcielago) it'd be tempting to just reuse those names. Diablo is one in particular that probably should have been kept. People still know what a Diablo is, compared to a Murcie or Aventador.

I'm just glad they aren't following the luxury world's nomenclature.
